Hello All,

I am fairly new to PLC's outside of the class, so apologies for any newbie communications.

I am trying to set up a system that will measure an angle change as well as a distance change, so I will be using two sensors: Inclinometer and Laser Distance Sensor.

I plan on using a Allen Bradley Micrologix 1100 (haven't looked into any others yet).

I would like to display the angle and distance for users, I have noticed the EVD111 from Electronic Displays, but would like to try something else since they seem a little large.

Is an HMI the only solution to display the angle and distance?

Thank you in advanced.

Sensors:

Inclinometer: B1N360V-Q42-CNX2-2H1150 - Turck Single Axis

Laser: Banner LTF12UC2LDQ

You can use basically any HMI to do that. There's ways to get info to be displayed on the 1100 LCD but not user friendly at all.

A lot of people may suggest Red Lion or Automation Direct for good bang for the buck HMI's.
