Ascii Test on ML1100

Hi All,
I'm trying to set up some Ascii coms between some Keyence barcode scanners and a ML1100 but not having much luck what i want to do now is test the ML1100 end how can I send an Ascii String e.g 123456789 to the ML1100 via Com 1 on my laptop .So I can test my coms .

You can use Windows Hyperterminal
See KB below. Its for a contrologix but the ML1100 will have similar instructions.

Thanks Mickey just what I needed I now have both the barcode and the ML1100 so they can talk to the laptop with the sane com setting's now just need to sort out a lead for between the two And we are away
