For connecting to a Micrologix through a 1761-NET-AIC, the manual specifies that you should use "RS 232 Communication Cables Cable, Cat. No. 2711-NC13 Cable, Cat. No. 2711-NC14 Cable, Cat. No. 2706-NC13" -- basically just a straight-through serial cable.

But it also adds 'Note: On PanelView 550 terminals, pin 8 on the RS-232 connector is pulled high. Do not use the 2711-NC13 cable.'

So what cable should be used on a Panelview 550? A straight-through cable without pin 8 connected? If so any other wires that should not be connected?

All other ports on the AIC+ are in use.
