When I go PLC - Upload station to PG and select the IP address of the CPU (it finds it), I click OK and get the message "Online: The connection to the target module cannot be established" followed by "The connection module could not be configured".

However, in my project I created a hardware configuration containing only the PS and CPU, and I could go online with it. Not only that, but when I go online it asks me if I want to use the saved version for diagnosis or upload from PLC - I click upload from PLC and indeed I can see the PLCs hardware configuration.

So it means there is a connection and they are talking. So why am I getting those messages?

Thank you for your answers, but I did select the slot 2. I'm so frustrated by this, I can only upload a screenshot but I don't know what more to say other than it's still not working... What else could it be?

Your S7-400 CPU is in slot 3. Select slot 3 in Upload station to PG.

Oh, I'm so silly... it crossed my mind but I thought that it starts from zero (even thought it literally says 3 next to the CPU) because you can actually select slot 0 when you try to upload...

Anyway, thanks
