I use Proplex Ethernet cables all the time for hi-flex and rough service applications. It's the only type of cable I've found that even approaches "stagehand resistant." It's not the most fun type of cable to terminate, but Proplex can take a beating.
I use the Neurtik EtherCON connectors. Very durable and reasonable prices.
