Yesterday I was working with an Allen-Bradley Controllogix and a Compactlogix. I was using a MSG instruction to read from the Controllogix via ethernet, and I was given the option for the MSG configuration to cache the connection, so I did.

However, I'm using a similar setup on a different machine to read from a PLC5 to a Compactlogix via ethernet, but I do not have the option to cache the connection (it's greyed out). Does anyone know why?
