Connecting an Iwaki metering pump to a ControlLogix

Hi,

I need to connect an Iwaki IX C150TCN-TB1-U to a ControlLogix.
The output of the pump is at page 18 of this PDF : https://www.iwaki-nordic.com/litera.../ix-c/manual/PROFIBUS_converter_manual_uk.pdf

Can I wire them directly or do I need to pass into a converter?

Hi,

The PDF you refer to is a Profibus interface that you connect with the pump.
So, if you want to control the pump by Profibus, you need this converter module. It is the T741 Profibus_converter module.
I am actually installing 3 of these right now in our water treatment system, works like a charm...

The converter he mentions is in your manual, it converts from a small DIN to a standard Profibus 9 pin serial connection.

Prosoft makes a comm card for profibus. No idea on the price.

I know I just can't find it online. I google T741 profibus converter and it give me converter but not the one in the PDF.

We already have the Prosoft comm card for Modbus. My goal is to connect 2 pumps to a Profibus converter to this card if its possible.

This is what i found in the pump manual and what i am using.
Iwaka part number 43122001
(I assume you wanted to know the Iwaka part not the controllogics interface)

I am using the pumps with an Innovation series controller with a Molex SST-profibus interface.
