Hi everyone

i have a lenze VFD D-31855

it uses a potentiometer to control the speed of the motor

1-is how the potentiometer is connected to it

2- is how i want to control it using a built-in analog output (1215c CPU ) and by adding 250 ohm resistor to get variable voltage from 0-5V

does the wiring safe

kind regards

It will depend on what the analog output i.e. 0-10v 0-20ma or 4-20ma a 250 ohm resistor across a 0-10v will put more than 0-5v, 4-20 will put 1-5v not 0-5v. if the offset of 1v is ok then it should be ok

the output is 0-20ma ,adding 250ohm is to get 0-5V
so no damage will be

It's been while since I've used that type of Lenze, but I think that you have dip switches. on VFD, that are used for selection of type of analog input, so you need just proper setup.
