Hi, I'm doing a project involve Siemens S7-300 and WECS (Wärtsilä Engine Control Unit)
The WECS has profibus FMS port and can communicate with PEP PLC (which already phase out)
I would like to connect it to S7-300 through CP343-5.
Does anyone have some experience with this?
Thank you very much

Should be doable.
Here are some links:

(no personal experience though).

edit: Maybe Wärtsilä have some examples or documentation about setting the system up with S7.
Not unlikely considering that Siemens was always the biggest player with everything Profibus.

Have to comment that FMS is a dying standard.
Would it be possible to upgrade the Wärtsilä side to something newer ? In particular Profinet would be a better choice IMO.
