I need a little help locating a CURRENT TRANSFORMER or CURRENT TRANSDUCER with a hole of about 7/8 or larger but I need like a 0-1 amp range preferably 4-20ma out but voltage would be fine.

Anyone have any ideas?

We are currently using a 0-5amp model from simpson and it just does not give us the resolution that we need for a dependible machine.

Thanks

Can you put the wire through the Simson unit twice (1 loop)?
That should double the output and improve resolution. You'll need to recalibrate after. I don't think it will be exactly double.

The looping has already been done .

Actually 15 loops but the current we need to read is in the microamp range. The voltage is extremly high which is why we want the isolation of a CT.

Thanks

The power supply is capable of 3000vdc but it is pulsed at 60hz.
the test specs range from 1000-1500volts.

Looks like they go for around $200 US.
