Help please. Im new to Omron and have a machine down. I have a compare = for barcode label scan.
I've attached two pics. On the Mnemonics you can see the first string had a dash where the second doesn't. I need the second one to have the dash.

Any help appreciated

First string/second string?
I can’t decipher what you mean sorry ..

Is your issue that the <> has the hyphen in the blank string tag, or that the string for comparison does not (although suspect it does sine the instruction is not true )

the label numbers P4295602NH900L
Again, this does not really help. Getting good help requires asking good questions

It looks like you are referring to the tag/symbol LHPart01?
Have you tried updating the value to have the dash/hyphen?
Have you searched to see if there is anything writing to it?
Or does it come from a HMI or lookup table even?

Perhaps explain exactly what you have & what you are trying to do.
For example what does left/right hand mean & part 01 & part 02 ?.
Are the two barcodes i.e. one from a barcode reader & the other from some form of lookup ?.
If so which is the one with the odd "-" in it is the the actual barcode or the one from a lookup ?.
It looks like the actual barcode read always has a "-" in it but what you are checking it with does not why ? where does this data come from ?.
