Hello All,

I'm investigating options for extracting data from machines and storing it/displaying dashboards through a cloud platform.

Most equipment we supply has a VPN gateway device for remote support and I have experimented with sending data to an MQTT server over an encrypted connection and that works well. I've been passing the data to a NodeRed application which works well for me but might be hard work to manage for customers in the longer term.

I am also currently trialing the **** router and cloud solution which looks promising.

Does anyone have any experience to share on the subject?

Best regards,

Nick

Same experience as you at the moment. Node-red seems to be handling the amount of data so far.
Although we do use secomea for all our remote connections and it also has a push to cloud data acquisition option. Either to its own dashboards or to the major cloud db services. I have to start testing this, but maybe another option for you to check out.
Also some plc's are are on the market that can directly use mqtt. the Schneider m262 comes to mind 1st that i have seen
