Hello All
I am trying to configure a delta PLC with a PID loop in order to maintain tension in a cable. The tension sensor is an AB encoder and tension would be maintained with a servo, ASD-A2 series, operating in step direction. Understand that the PID is not the only possible solution so any alternatives welcomed.
For the DPID configuration API; setpoint is zero, the high speed counter C251 from the encoder (2 phase) is stored in a data register so it can be accessed as present value and lastly the configuration registers, using DMOV, represent a 100ms sample time and the largest allowable range for each of the P I D parameters. I have played with changing the individual PID gains without any resulting change in the output value.
The Delta application instructions are relatively clear however I am chasing a working example or some pointers as to what could be a miss.
Thanks in adv, Greg
