Errors when trying to download to Rslogix5000 emulate controller

Error: Invalid attribute value.
Error: Object can not perform service in its current mode/state.
Error: Failed to download tags.

I get these errors when I try to download to the Rslogix 5000 emulator controller. I put the controller into program mode, but the problem is still there. Has anyone encountered this problem before?

I got this exact same set of errors this morning when trying to download to an emulator.

If I find a solution I will post back.

Turns out, if you have motion groups associated with real world axis it will not let you download to the emulator.

If you go into the axes properties and change the associated module to none it will let you download.
