FactoryTalk ME Comms question?

Question-

I was given a Micrologix .RSS file and a .APA file communication is ethernet.

I was asked to verify comms ethernet (which they are).

IT has given them a new IP range to use. They said they will change the Micrologix IP address, sub, gateway via the display and the HMI IP address, sub, gateway if I can change the FactoryTalk application.

I have never tried this before I have always been able to go online and test.

If I change the runtime target to the new IP address (only option I see) will the comms establish?
