Hello All,
Does anyone know why FAL and FSC instructions are part of the instruction set for RSLogix 5 and 5000, but not for 500?
I have an application where I need to perform math on six different integer values coming from an HMI, and then store the results in about a dozen different locations, so 12 FAL's would do the job of 72 CPT instructions. I'm also wanting to use FSC for alarm tracking.
Are these instructions just masquerading under another name in RSL 500, or was it just another case of Rockwell Cranial Rectal Inversion that was corrected when they rolled out 5000?
If anyone has had to work around this in 500 and has any helpful hints for other instructions to use, I'd love to hear them.
Cheers,
Dustin
