ok this is very confusing
iam about to purchase on items on ebay:

1769-L32E SER A

2711P-B10C4D1, Series A, Rev C
LOGIC MODULE 2711P-RP SERIES B REV B

1756-ENBT SERIES A
1756-L55
THE SOFTWARE THAT I HAVE IS VER 10-17 RS LOGIX 5000
I DO HAVE CONTROL FLASH 7.00.08

ALL THIS FIRMWARE STUFF IS CONFUSING ME

ITS LIKE IF I GET TO NEW STUFF, THE OLD STUFF WONT WORK WITH
AND IT LOOKS LIKE SOME HARDWARE ONLY FLASH'S TO A CERTAIN POINT

UNDER DOWNLOADS FIRMWARE AT AB.COM

THERE IS A CHART THERE THAT SHOWS ALL HARDWARE WITH FIRMWARE UPDATES

IT LOOKS LIKE 1769 L32E CAN FLASH TO VERSION 19<< CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG. ALSO CAN MY I/O BE TO OLD FOR THIS PROCESSOR??

SO WHAT ABOUT THE PANEL VIEW PLUS, I HAVE FACTORY TALK ME 5.10
BASED ON THE PRODUCT MODULE I NAMED ABOVE, HOW CAN YOU TELL WHAT IS THE LOWEST AND HIGHEST VERSION DO I NEED FOR FT TALK ME

The "buyer beware" rule applies especially on eBay. I have seen quite a lot of guys here on the Forum buy broken parts on eBay.

1769-L32E SER A
Can be loaded with v13 through v19 firmware. All 1769-series I/O will work with this CPU.

2711P-B10C4D1, Series A, Rev C
LOGIC MODULE 2711P-RP SERIES B REV B
Can be loaded with v4, v5, v5.1 firmware. Cannot be loaded with v6 or later firmware. I recommend loading v5.10 firmware so that it is compatible with your version of FactoryTalk View Studio.

1756-ENBT SERIES A
Can be loaded with any 1756-ENBT firmware releases. This is a current product.

1756-L55
Can be loaded with v10 - v16 firmware. Cannot be loaded with v17, v18, v19 or future firmware.

Because these controllers may be from the era that suffered from bad ASIC chips (called the 2007-05-002 Product Service Advisory), you should review the serial numbers and have the seller inspect the backplane chips before purchasing, if possible. Details are in RA Knowledgebase articles 40149 and 41204.

The firmware chart from the ControlFlash download site is an excellent way to determine what firmware will run on what hardware.

this module does above does come with 7 day return
i tried looking for chart, on ab.com to see what is the maximum version of factory talk ME
it could use. i cant find it, can you help me

To be honest is still don't understand this table for the panel view I want to buy.

RA has released completely new hardware to go with the PanelView Plus v6 firmware and FTView Studio 6. That hardware will be supported for v6 and all future firmware.

All existing PV+ terminals released with version 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 4.0, 5.0 or 5.10 can be upgraded to v5.10 at the highest.

Version 3.0 terminals had to have a specific Windows CE license issued for them, so I would not consider them to be upgradeable in the field. A-B stopped giving concession licenses for early adopters about seven years ago.
