I'm trying for the first time to use this HMS-EN2SE-R to communicate very tiny ASCII comms (3 characters max) From a Logix L71 to a very dumb serial device and I can't find any example code for an ASCII conversation using this gateway. I can't figure out the conversational semantics.

I have a meeting with HMS support tomorrow but I'd sure like to have some of this figured out before then so I can ask more intelligent questions.
