Hello all and happy Friday,

I'm curious if anyone here has experience sending data over an Anybus Bolt II (HMS AWB6001-A) using a Compact Logix PLC (1769-L18ER-BB1B).

Specifically wondering if this is considered an ethernet module, or just like a switch? Would there be an EDS file for it somewhere or something I have to make using a generic module. I've reached out to the manufacturer for an EDS or AOP with no luck so far. Thanks for your help!

Thanks, I was wondering that, just got a little nervous when I saw the bolt was configured with its own IP address.

Netnathan posted the wrong part/link. From my experience, ANYBUS has pretty great documentation. I agree with him that you shouldn't have to configure any sort of EDS in Logix. You are calling it the Anybus Bolt II, they call it the "Anybus Wireless Bolt II".

I would look at this link. Under "Manuals/Design Guides".
First look at the startup guide, then look at the user manual if it still isn't working.
https://www.anybus.com/technical-support/pages/files-and-documentation?ordercode=AWB6000

On any of the Anybus part number pages, all the documentation is hiding in "Support Pages" right above "Datasheet PDF" to the right of the main part photo.
