Hello.

I trying to connect Micrologix1400 and Abybus X-gateway by Ethernet/IP

Anybus X-gateway(AB7670) is Ethernet/IP master.

I confirm the Get attribute single operation by Micrologix1400.

But Set Attribute single operation is not working(not confirm).

PLC MSG Configuration as below

- Servise type : Write assembly(0x10)
- Class : 04h
- Instance : 101h
- Attribute : 03h

How to check the Set operation in the X-gateway?

I am not familiar with using both of those devices together.

Can you explain in more detail the goal of using these devices together ?

What is the other protocol on the Anybus-X ?

If it is rejecting a Write Assembly service, Assembly 101 may not be writeable.

I researched for myself; the AB7670 is an EtherNet/IP Master on one side, and a ProfiNet Slave on the other.

The User Manual I am reading says that Assembly 101 is the "Output Buffer", also called the "Consumed Data" connection.

http://www.hms.se/upload/ABX-EIPM-addendum.pdf

These devices are meant to be used with ControlLogix, which establishes a true Class 1 CIP cyclic I/O connection with them.

I don't know if the module will accept a non-cyclic write from something like a MicroLogix 1400.

It's also possible it won't accept a Write command in certain operational modes.

HMS Fieldbus has excellent technical support. Please let us know what they have to say about your application.

thank you for replay.

I want to connect Micrologix1400 and profinet.

Anybus X-gateway(AB7670) protocol is Ethernet/IP master and Profinet IO slave.

in the anybus Manual explain like that
6.4 Assembly Object, Class 04h
6.4.1 General Information
Object Description
The Input and Output buffers are represented through instances 101 and 102.
In addition, the data associated with each EtherNet/IP connection is represented
as dedicated instances (768... 831 and 1024...1087).

Supported Services
Class services: Get Attribute Single
Instance services: Get Attribute Single
Set Attribute Single

6.4.4 Instance Attributes (Instances 101, 768... 831)
# Access Name Type Value
3 Get/Set Consumed data Array of BYTE Mapped to the Output buffer.

6.4.5 Instance Attributes (Instances 102, 1024... 1087)
# Access Name Type Value
3 Get Produced data Array of BYTE Mapped to the Input buffer.

My application is not possible.

Because Micrologix1400 is not operation as Ethernet/IP slave.

So, I don't make configuration like that ML1400 & SIEMENS PLC.

HMS support said that

"If you would like to connect SIEMENS PLC with the Micrologix 1400 using Anybus X-gateway, you need to choose AB7649."
