how to find current firmware on a PLC 5/40E

How do I find out what the current version of firmware is on my PLC 5/40E processor on rslogix 5

It depends on what is loaded.... later 40e/e and /f you can open them in RSLinx and check the properties, I have found that older (like 40e/c) will not show much information at all in RSLinx

Its worth a try, just right click on the CPU and see if it will give you any, I think you should also be able to go on-line and see it in RSLogix
