I have a comm-e card installed in a powerflex 700 and I can view all parameters within studio 5000 (compactlogix) no problem but how do I access them within the PLC program?

When I add the powerflex drive I only get a limited number of variables:

Ready
Running
Alarm
Faulted
Feedback

How do I access the other 200 variables via the PLC program? I see I can map 4 datalinks but this seems clumsy, if studio 5000 can view and access all the parameters surely the PLC can as well?

I don't need them all, but I'm just curious why it isn't simple to get them all.

Could you point me in the direction of how I can get more than the 4 datalinks should I require them? Is direct messaging how it is done?

It's probably just to keep everything communicating briskly. Yes explicit messaging you can find info in the 20commE manual
