I've got a client who wants to pilot a Schneider's M580 controllers in Unity Pro and use their OFS OPC server to read tags straight out of the controller.

What I can't seem to find a resource for is how to allow iFix 5.5 to recognize the driver. Whether I need to actually load a new driver on the iFix configuration side or if its just a matter of setting up the syntax to point to OFS. I'm not finding anything online. Has anyone dealt wit this?

I'm using iFix 5.5, OFS v.3.6, and Unity Pro v13.1

It's been awhile since I messed with iFix. But as I recall, you will need an OPC driver in iFix, that is connected to the OFS OPC server. I think, the generic OPC driver is included on the install DVD.
Then you will have to build your tags in iFix.

iFix come with a built in OPC Client. All you need to do is to add it to add it to configured I/O drivers and configure it using PowerTool like any other driver.
