Intellution Fix32 7.0 Simulation

Hello Specialist
I need to check a SCADA software that was running on Fix32, I noticed that when I've changed the device (in database) to 'SIM' and address to '0' on scada it showed a value, and that's what I need, to have me SCADA system showing me random values (in the defined range) so that I have a mimic showing me how that stuff looked like in the beginning. Is there a better way to do it? The E-books provided by Intellution - how do I open them?

Did you add the "SIM" driver? Is it running in the SCADA configuration?

You need to install the Intellution E-Books from the CD. A reader is included in the package.
The SIM driver gives access to blocks of memory which can be used for many purposes but it also includes pre-defined "Signal Generation" registers which provide ramps and other functions which you can use to animate or test your applications. I would consider using the SIM driver to be a fundamental part of any Fix application.

I did install the E-Books and I've got a folder "EBooks" and I think that this application Tbook.exe but doesn't seem to work. I do specify the book that I want to read but then it just returns an error that it couldn't locate xxx.TBK.
So I'm still a bit confused

Bout the sim:
I managed to change address of those tags that I find important (Over 4,600 tags) to device "SIM" with address either RA and RD. I did that by a script, and there's another question - with what do you edit the tag database (*.PDB)?

The reader installed on my XP system is called DynaText and is located at C:\WINDOWS\msapps\EBooks\BIN\DTEXTRW.EXE. Launching this brings up a contents list of all of the installed books.
The obvious application for editing the database is Database Builder. For large scale editing there used to be an application called GDBMake which allowed you edit CSV files exported from Fix32. Maybe you can still find this on line.
