Hello All,

First off I want to admit I think I am in a bit over my head and need help.

I have been thrown into a customers plant with a crashed Inetllution FIX32 system, and was given a "new" PC to install all the software onto and "just connect the cables and it will work."

I'm not completely new at this and knew it was not going to be that easy but hey crossed my fingers and wished for the best. To my surprise I was able to get all the software and the recovered files installed on the "new" windows 2000 computer I was given.

I have connected the PLC to the serial port and am able to see the PLC on RSLogix however when I try to run Intellution FIX View, I am getting and error Stating the Connection is NOT established with Node.

I have taken a few educated guesses to no success, so if anyone has information to help me out with this i would greatly appreciate any and all help.

also I have searched past forums but have not had success on finding this issue.

Thank you for your responses in advance.

Rob

I am assuming you are connecting to a PLC5 .
If I recall, the AB I/O drivers have to be installed as well as the Fix32

Check "System Configuration" under "SCADA" to see if a driver has been configured. And make sure it has been configured with all the addresses you want to poll.
If you are communicating with the serial port on a PLC5 then it is a good chance the PLC5's port is configured for DF1 protocol. The "ABH" driver in FIX is used for this protocol.
Also make sure in your database that the I/O addresses exists.
