KEB-VFD is not tripping at higher current

We had a drive running a fan installed with a project. All drive settings related to motor protection were left at the factory default which was much higher than motor nameplate. When crud built up in the duct causing the fan to rub the sides, we smoked two motors before someone thought to check drive settings and properly set FLA / OL settings. I suspect there's a good chance you have something similar. I am not familiar with your particular drive model.
