Math instructions

Okay I have read my book and my instructor hasn't addressed this issue as of yet. I am working on rslogix 500 and I was wonder if anyone would tell me how to counters would be reconized by the subtraction instruction as source a and source b. Do I go into the intergers section and address as such or what. PLease help and be detail because I am reading ahead of the class to stay ahead if you know what i mean.

You need to address the accumulated value. EX: C5:6.ACC
