MAZAK FUSION 640 TO FANUC ROBOT RJ3i INTERFACE

Has anyone interfaced a mazak fusion 640 cnc control to a fanuc RJ3i robot using mitsubishi cc link or using a AB controllogix plc in between the two? Im trying to get away from hardwiring inputs and outputs between the two. thanks
