Micrologic 1500 with 1769-HSC card in slot 2 help

So I have to encoders with A,B and Z pulse 360 encoder wired up to A0+, B0+ and Z0+ and the - pulses wired to common 24vdc. I can see the inputs come on, on the card. But I'm unsure on how to set up the configuration on the card in Logix. I can see I:1.0 count up to about 28 but I'm new to the HSC cards. I need a raw value that I can scale and use.
