Micrologix 1200 C Fault

I have a 1200 C displaying the Fault light . With no additional I/O connected I cannot clear it. I cannot connect to it with the fault existing , Linx wont connect.
Turning the power on with the COM button down does not clear it.
Is there a way to clear the fault light that will allow me to connect please.

Flashing light or solid light ?

If it's solid red and a power cycle doesn't clear it (turning it to a flashing red), then the controller has failed and must be replaced.
