Mitsi GX Developer help

Hello I'm new to the forum.

I have had experience with PLC's on a small scale for a few years now.

I have mainly worked on FX1N series but recently I have been called to change an output on a FX3U series PLC. In my version of GX Developer 8.03D I do not have the option to connect with this model. I have looked at the manual I got with the software and it says I can interface with all FX series PLC's.

Can anyone shed any light on why its not coming up as an option??

The fx3 was not out when your version of gx came out.

That makes sense, do mitsi offer an upgrade/update or do I have to purchase the latest software?
