ML1400 Channel 0 Pinouts

Hi,

We want to connect a Barcode reader to Channel 0 of a ML1400, is there a specific cable we need?
We have it working on Channel 2 with a standard straight through cable, but need this port for another serial device.
The barcode scanner has a DB9 female, so the cable we have will need to be adapted somehow?
