Omron CS1GH-43 CPU Communication Problems

Hello All,
I am new here so please bare with me. I have an Omron CS1GH-43 CPU along with an internal CS1W-SCB41-V1 ver. 1.3 comm board setup. I have a simple Protocal macro setup for this board. Using PMCR instruction in plc ladder logic. When I force the rung true with the PMCR instruction, I believe if everything is setup correctly the COMM1 light on the serial board should flash, weather a cable is connected to it or not. Right now the light isn't flashing so I am not getting any communications. I have checked and double checked the setup for the serial board and everything seems correct. Am I correct when I say the COMM1 light should be flashing when the rung goes true with the PMCR instruction? Sorry for the long write but can't figure this one out.

Comm light may or may not flash. It will depend on the CTS/RTS settings. If CTS/RTS handshaking is enabled, you would need a signal on the RTS line. Easiest way to check this is to jumper pins 4 and 5 on the port.

I would double your settings again. Have you loaded a file with cx-protocol? Does the PMCR executing bit come on?

Here's an example of a PMCR with the SCB

This will use Port 1 (F1 part of F1E1) and macro number zero.
The address of the 'executing' flag is 1909.15

I think you need something connected (Data carrier detect??)
