I've done a factory reset on a PV 7 Plus terminal, set the IP address and cycled power.

I can now ping the PV and can see it on RS Linx but its not appearing when browsing using FT Linx and consequently I can't download the application.

The ME station firmware is 10.0.9, FTView Studio is rev 12 and I'm using Ethernet/IP to communicate.

What have I missed??

If you can see it in RSLinx that suggests the problem is not with the PVP terminal.

Try deleting and recreating your driver in FT Linx; I've recently had occasional problems with FT Linx not wanting to detect things and that usually resolved it.

I will state the obvious first to get it out of the way...

Right-click on the Ethernet driver and if there is an option that says, "Start Browsing", select it. If it says, "Stop Browsing", do not select it, you are good. I have had cases where I just could not get it to see my device no matter what I did. When that happened, I manually added the device in FT Linx.

If you right-click on the Ethernet driver and select Add Device you will find the PV+ 7 near the bottom of the EtherNet/IP Devices category. Adding it manually seemed to sort of wake-up FT Linx to the device and I was able to talk with it. Worth a try.

Many thanks for your prompt responses.

In the end I cycled power to the Stratix switch and that sorted it!?
