My plant is going through an upgrade, a 3rd party are proposing a PILZ programmable saftey system (not sure of model) which will have comms on ethernet. i think it will be modbus tcp/ip.

i am interested if this can be interfaced to an Allen Bradley Panelview 1000+ for status indication?

does anyone know if it can with a native rockwell driver or do i need to use KEPware or something similar?

Rockwell includes a version of Kepware they call "KepServer Enterprise" with FactoryTalk View ME, that will run on the PanelView Plus.

It includes Modbus/TCP as one of its most popular drivers.

So in short, yes, it's very likely that your PanelView Plus can directly access data in the PILZ Modbus/TCP data registers.
