FactoryTalk AssetCentre is the modern name for that software. It does checkin/checkout version control, edit monitoring, and automatic backups for RA controllers.
I'm not sure if you can back up any Siemens controllers with it.
MDT Autosave is the 800-pound gorilla of the automated change management business.
Looking for software that would do automatic backups on all our PLCs. We have A-B slc500, contrologix, and Siemens S7 300 S7 400.
Any recommendations?
Thanks

FT AssetCentre Server will need the $3230 Siemens S7 Disaster Recovery Agent option installed(9515-ASTDRSMNS7E) in order to audit/backup any S7 CPU applications; for Allen-Bradley CPUs (PLC5, SLC, Logix) you will need the $5300 Disaster Recovery Agent for Rockwell Automation (9515-ASTDRROKENE).
There are also Siemens S5 CPUs, FANUC, Motoman and ABB robots available Disaster Recovery Agent options.
I take it that it can't back up HMIs? Do these have to be added to the project backup file manually?
