I have added some rungs to an exsitng progrma and now get a > symbol to left of those rungs. I have assembled edits and saved program but they are still there. The logic seems to work okay but as I have not seen this before I concended why this now showing up. Thnaks in advance for any insight. Frw

what plc are you using?

ab plc5 ver 7.30 allows you to select rung wrapping versus a single line.

thw wrap version shows arrows from the end of the rung on line 1 to the start of line 2 for example.

the problem may be in your program setup or computer display.

regards,
james

I'm using Rslogix 5 ver 5.2 with a PLC 5. It isn't a problem with the rung wraping. the symbol is in the space where you see the rung number. The rungs were those I created off line and downloaded. I have added some more rungs on line and I doen't get the symbol next to them. I hope I am making sense.

Post your .RSP file ( if you can) and tell us which rungs are in question. ( zip the file first)

I can't post the .rsp file (company policy), but here is a sreen shot of the symbol in question. thanks

I noticed you had forces installed and enabled and that same symbol is next to the actual values for the I/O words on the right of the screen. Is that just a force indicator?

Keith

Can you make a new picture and show the whole rung?
Do forces have anything to do with this?

Edit: Keith types faster then I do.

Isn't that just the 'Rung Continuation Character' that shows if you have the editor configured to NOT auto-wrap rungs?

Edit:
Never mind, I have no idea what that symbol is, and can't get it to show up anyway in Logix5 here.

Maybe it's uhhh.... Nope.. .Still no clue.
