PROCON control system???????

Hello Mocksah,

Probably not much help, but here (in my office), a PROCON refers to a PROgramming CONsole. A type of hand-held (and latterly desk-top) device that was used for programming a PLC prior to the proliferation of computer-based software applications.

I have a PROCON software package running as a data acquisition on profibus with 4 S5's...don't know much about it, other then I will get bus faults on my S5's if its not running, we have done some other small editing...I don't know about "process control" side, ours only does data acquisition, collecting data and reporting
