Product Recomendations for Ethernet to Profibus Gateway

I apologize if this is the wrong forum to post this in.

I am looking at upgrading some older PCs that are using Siemens CP5613 cards and was wondering if anyone here had experience with any type of Ethernet to Profibus MPI/PPI gateway, that they have successfully used with a Wonderware HMI.

I have looked at a few different vendors but haven't ordered anything yet. Was hoping to get some more real world examples before I proceed with anything.

Is the PLC a Siemens S7 ?
In that case it is S7 protocol over Profibus or MPI.
And in that case there are several vendors.

If the protocol is actually Profibus master-slave to a Siemens or non-Siemens PLC, then it wont be so easy. Siemens do have a Profibus to Profinet gateway which I can find if needed. The SCADA will then have to be a Profinet IO Controller or a Profinet IO Device.

The vast majority of the gateways I've seen are between IO protocols only, which may happen to involve a change of physical layer: Profinet to Profibus, Ethernet/IP to Modbus RTU, etc.

At least if you're doing Siemens PLCs, the PLC -> HMI comms are actually over an S7 protocol, not profibus/profinet, and therefore they aren't supported by most gateways. Siemens has a product called the IE/PB link (6GK1411-5AB10) that is supposed to support HMI connections routed between the networks; never tried it myself though.

I've used Anybus X gateways numerous times.

Real easy to set up an so far very reliable.
