question

Connect the load cell to any weight transmitter. The transmitters have analog outputs (4-20ma or 0-10V) that you can connect to the analog input of any PLC. you can also have transmitters with Profinet, Devicenet, Profibus etc.

This is an example of a weight transmitter : JOLLYTLB from Laumas Elettronica.

As nonuke said, you need a signal condition to convert the load cell signal to a 0-10V or 4-20mA signal. Also, if memory serves me correct, the micrologix1200 does not have built in analog inputs. You will also need an analog input module for your PLC.

you need to describe your application better.

i have used beam, s-beam, tension, compression, button head,
summation load cells.

i agree with the others, but you must also be aware of sudden inpact or shock in regards to the load cell. load cell shock can be as much as 6-10 times its capacity.
you must also be careful not to place a load on the loadcell when you put it in place and tighten it in place.

regards,
james
