Hello all, I would like to thank however will read this post.
I have this problem using a Weintek eMT3150A HMI having the following I/O ports:
I/O Port
SD Card Slot SD/SDHC
USB Host USB 2.0 x 1
USB Client USB 2.0 x 1
Ethernet 10/100 Base-T
COM Port
COM1 (RS-232/RS-485 2W/4W),
COM3(RS-232/RS-485 2W)
CAN Bus Yes
Audio Audio Line Out - 3.5 mm jack x 1
Video Input Port NTSC/PAL RCA x 2
We need to make a log file file based on sensor readings and access these data later with a remote PC application.
I was wondering if anybody would have an idea on how to acheive such a thing?
So far we figured out that we could use an event log, sampling data, recipe database, or operation log to external device (USB disk / SD card / remote backup server / send through email with attachment.
We are particulary interested in the remote "backup server option". This could be the PC which contain the software that needs to access the log file we would have previously created then synchronized with the sensor readings.
OR
We could have the remote PC accessing the SD card on the HMI which contains the log file.
Would the be any command in prompt that allow access to this SD card on the HMI? From what we understand, the HMI uses MODBUS TCP/IP.
All suggestions are welcomed.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Alex
