RedLion G303 Manual IP Address issue

Hi, i am having an issue with a RedLion G303 when i manually assign an IP/subnet to the ethernet interface. If i manually set up the G303 with address of 199.3.2.12 subnet of 255.255.255.0 and set my PC manually to 199.3.2.3 subnet 255.255.255.0 i can not ping the G303. nor does it talk to the other devices on the network. But when i set up the G303 to obtain it's address via DHCP it will recieve an address of 199.3.2.100 subnet 255.255.255.0 and i am able to ping the G303 with my PC still set manually to 199.3.2.3 subnet 255.255.255.0 and the G303 communicates with the other devices on the network. I have double checked that the 199.3.2.12 address is not assigned to another device. I have tried putting just my PC and the G303 on a switch by them selves and tried a crossover cable with the G303 plunged directly in to my PC. I have had no luck getting the G303 to communicate with a manualy set IP address and subnet. Anyone have any suggestions?

I would suggest putting a variable on the screen with a value of GetNetIP(1). This will shows the units real IP address just incase it doesn't have the IP you think it should.

How would i set up the GetNetIP(1) variable?

Place a string variable on the display
Set the value to General and type GetNetIp(1) in the box

This will then show the IP associated with this panel

Okay. the ip shows as 192.168.1.10. but i have the ip set manualy in the configuration to 199.3.2.12.

If the SetNetConfig command was ever used with this unit it will override the configured IP in Crimson. The solution for this is to execute the SetNetConfig command with all zeros for the arguments.
