RSLOGIX5000 Sequencer Input and Output

Hi, I am new to using the sequencer input and output intstruction.

1) Could someone please explain how to use both on the same rungs and how to tag the source for the SQI?

2) I am having trouble finding PLC5000 on RSVIEW32 under Node Type. It only gives me the options to pick PLC5, 500, SLC5 , and so on. I am trying to connect Control Logix to RSVIEW 32. How do I set up the configuration to create communication to the PLC?

Lots of help is appreciated. I have to use these instructions for my final project. Thank You.

SQI and SQO have been around a LONG time. Start with the help file and come up with a little more "informed" question(s)

ControlLogix with RSView32 uses OPC. You will need a licensed copy of RSLinx or some other OPC server.

The legacy stuff as I recall could use a "direct connection" from View32. Not an option with ControlLogix.

I figured out the problem with SQI and SQO, Thank You.

As for RSVIEW 32, I am using a licensed copy of RSLINX. I don't know what to do to create communication between control Logix and rsview32.

On RSVIEW32, I am trying to use tags from rslogix 5000 but in the addressing browser, it shows the tags are offline, how do i get them online?

Seem to remember you have to right-click and "refresh all tags" - something like that.
