RSView32 Application crashing at 80% system settings up

Hi everybody,

I have a rsview32 application, when I try to run it it loads upto 80% system settings and the crashes saying Rsview32 Project manager isn't responding.

I cleared the processes 32 from task manager and run it again and it pops up Watcom SQL User:Tagdb Pasword:***** when click Ok it says C++ runtime error.

How to proceed with this issue to resolve it?

what changed in the application?
did the SQL database location change?
did the server change addresses?
did the database password - user access password change?

Could this be a result of the recent DCOM patch Microsoft activated? See A-B Knowledgebase article PN1581 (Microsoft DCOM Hardening Patch CVE-2021-26414). RSLinx is on the list of affected products and that is how RSV32 connects. You may want to try a restore to a date before June 2022.

Allright, So the issue was with the RSview32 Version.

I had version 7.50 installed, I upgraded to Version 7.60 and run the patch. it works afterwards.
