We are updating a clients system from RSView to FactoryTalk SE.

I am a VB programmer that is helping our FactoryTalk person work through this.

In the RSView system there is VB code that runs triggered by an event that we need to duplicate in FactoryTalk SE.

The VB code calls a macro in Microsoft Access that prints a report.

This has lead to some questions:

1) We now need to run the VB Code from the client and have the Access database on the server. Is this possible?

2) If no one is logged into the server will the marco still run?

Thanks

Macros on SE run on the client, not the server. Also the screen has to be running. Yes this can be done.
