Hello I am relatively new to PLC programming and even newer to siemens. Our company purchased 4 concrete batch plants which came complete with S7-1200 hardware and a PC used for HMI. I have had not been able to access the program on the PC which is locked by an O-key USB dongle and the manufacturer is no help. I have V11 TIA portal on my lap top and when I try and download the program connected direct to the PLC I am again locked out by password.

I really need to at least view the program for troubleshooting purposes and even better would be the ability to edit.

Does anybody know a simple method around this. Please help!

You have to contact the original manufacturer and ask them for the program and password.

That said, IMO if this is a standard product from the vendor, then it should be so well-documented, debugged and with so much integral diagnostics that it should not be necessary for an end-customer to look into the code for troubleshooting.

If these machines are still under warranty the manufacturer may not want you connecting to the machine for any reason.
