might be a silly question

can we install gsd. files in 200 as we install it in 300 cpu hardware

No, you can't. S7-200 detects automatically connected hardware modules.

GSD Files are generally used for communication on DP/PN networks. S7-200 can only by a DP Slave node and all the network configuration is done in S7 300 station, using S7-200 GSD.
