I have an application that I wiil require to communicate with a Seimens S7200 226cpu. I am using the basic program from tips and tricks 005B "Demo Freeport No 1 to 5 transmit" to comminicate via Hyper Terminal and I have successfully talked to a p.c. to send the letters A,B,C,D,E, and used 1,2,3,4,5 to switch outputs on which I now am planning to use in the existing program to enable internal relays to operate. The problem I have is that the hyper terminal will be used by a bar code device and the software for the barcode will send aproximatly 30 different signals to me to use to switch internal relays for my existing programs, so i need to receive possibly nOS 1 to 30, but I cannot seem to go above No 9 in hex to be able to switch more than 9. Can anyone help with the recieve characters to enable me to program from 1 to 30 using that simple program.
