In the literature for the card. It says scaling for the enginieering parameters can be done in the card. It shows what the raw data for 4 and 20ma will appear as. I'm going to us 0-100 lpm flow meters on those inputs. Can I really go into the configuration for the card and put 0 for the 4ma and 100 for the 20ma and do my scaling that simply. This is kind of what the literature implies, nowhere does it just come out and say it.

Yep, it is that simple.
There is a caveat though: scaling directly within the module and setting the Low Engineering to 0 LPM for a "transmitted" current value of 4mA will not accomodate provisions for "electrically open circuit" conditions sensing (the sensor "outputs" 0 mA); the CPU will not be able to "detect" the "zero current" value since the proposed calibration "ignores" anything less than 4mA and accordingly placing "0" within the hardware defined tag.

Thanks for your help. I'm glad it is that easy. I'm adding these flowmeters, but I'm not an indepth programmer. This will really make my task easier. I understand what you are saying about open circuit detection. I'll have to keep that in mind
