Schnider M580 cant open a new or any stu file

I have started a brand new M580 project and save it as M580_Test.stu, next i close it and re-open the M580_Test.stu file. and I get:


INVALID FILE.IMPORT ERROR.


Any idea?

I get the same thing if I try to open any existing stu file.

Maybe the file is corrupt.
To restore the project navigate to where the project was saved and locate the .BAK file. Change the .BAK to a .STA and open it.

Thanks, I just followed what you said an I got "INVALID FILE.IMPORT ERROR."

This sounds like a windows permissions or over enthusiastic anti virus issue.

Are you saving the file somewhere that you have full permissions on the folder for, e.g. your "My Documents" folder.

Try disabling your anti virus and create / re-open the file again.
